Twelve years ago founding editor, Dane Bahr took a writing class with Glen Chamberlain. He remembers Glen coming into class the first day in the fall wearing tight Wranglers, tooled cowboy boots, a black leather vest, this wonderful shock of salt and peppered hair held back by a pair of lime green glasses. She stood before the class a moment, and then said: Writing is hard. If anyone doesn’t want to work hard at it, they should leave. Needless to say, Dane was floored by this remark. Since that day, they’ve become close, both as peers in the craft of writing and friends. Once Dock Street started Dane had always wanted to publish her. And here we are! If you can make it, Chamberlain’s release event for her second book, All I Want Is What You’ve Got, will be held in Reynolds Recital Hall, April 8th at 7pm on the Montana State University campus. She’ll be sharing the stage with the Ahn Trio and Jeni Fleming. If you can’t make it, you can pick up a book through us at dockstreetpress.com. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
