In this episode we bring back Kyle Coma-Thompson, author of the brilliant debut collection The Lucky Body. For those who haven’t heard, Kyle’s story “The Lucky Body” was included in Vintage’s New American Stories, edited by Ben Marcus. Opening monologue: An essay about the mega e-retail giant, Amazon, and its strange, rapacious “experimental” work practices, and how they are influencing Seattle citizens. Act one: Dane and Kyle have a nice conversation about his work, yoga, meditation, Drake, his life since his inclusion in the anthology, etc. The intermission features a song by The Dandy Warhols. Act two: Kyle reads “The Lucky Body”.
Opening song is sampled from Oasis’s “Fucking in the Bushes” and Primal Scream’s “Loaded”.
Intermission: The Dandy Warhols, “Bohemian Like You” from Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia.
