This episode Dane talks with Robert James Russell, author of the forthcoming western, Mesilla. Robert is also the co-founder of the uber-killer literary journal, Midwestern Gothic, and the founding editor of the flash fiction magazine, CHEAP POP. Their discussion swirls around film, Michigan, walking dogs, Star Wars, Jaws, writing, westerns (duh), various modes of alienation (kidding). Act two: Rob reads from Mesilla. Dane also reads an essay from vastly talented Ben Tanzer, whom he gushes on and on about, in the opening monologue. Also there’s a great song from Simon and Garfunkel. Enjoy!
