Volume 6: A Consequence of the Meeting

By Matthew Thompson

Since he didn’t love his wife anymore, it didn’t take long to meet someone.

That’s what he told his wife: that he’d met someone.

She took the news pretty well. She didn’t cry or anything.

She called her sister and said, “have you ever heard of anything so stupid? Just because you meet one doesn’t mean that you fall in love. That’s like saying ‘I’m leaving because I’m breathing.’ If he’s that dumb, I’m glad he’s gone.”

Her sister didn’t have a response, so the phone sat against her ear and she listened to the house, now minus a husband.
